Sweet Addictions Subscription Box Review-December

PressSample
Happy Sunday lovelies!! I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving! I experienced my first snow, which ended up being a pretty big deal of a snow storm. We lost power on Wednesday night and it wasn't restored until Friday afternoon. Additionally, we had almost 2 feet of snow. Whew! I think I was initiated into being a Northeasterner and I can now claim all rights to being a resident of New England. Anyway, you came here for polish, so let;s get it started!

The December Sweet Addictions Box from Cupcake Polish has a "Frosty the Snowman" theme. This month, Cupcake Polish is joined by Chaos & Crocodiles and Elevation Polish. Umm...need I say more? Probably not. If you know anything about these brands, you know they are all topnotch and make some of the best polishes in the indie world. So let's take a look at what they created for us.

Cupcake Polish Merry and Bright is a red holo with red and gold shimmer. It is a vivid red with slightly pinkish undertones. It's kind of hard to explain. Anyway, I used two coats and there were no issues with application. This one is a true holiday red.
Cupcake Polish Merry and Bright

Elevation Polish Eyes Made of Glimmering Coal is a charcoal/gunmetal holo with silver flakies. The formula on this one was slightly thick; however, not problematic. I do suggest giving it a god roll before application though. I used two thin coats here and I just love the way it looks. It has a very intense holo flame and the shimmers appear to leave a scattered rainbow effect as well.
Elevation Polish Eyes Made of Glimmering Coal

Chaos & Crocodiles There's Magic in the Air is a stunning periwinkle blue creamy holographic. O.M.G. I am seriously floored by this one! It has the creamiest formula and applied life a dream. I used two easy coats here and I had absolutely no issues with application. This one is definitely a stunner!
Chaos & Crocodiles There's Magic in the Air

Overall, this is another winning box from the Sweet Addictions Series. These are available now for $30 (plus shipping) in the Cupcake Polish online shop. Be sure to check out the important information listed below.

Twinsie Tuesday- Mani Orders From My Husband

PressSample
Happy Twinsie Tuesday lovelies!! It's been a few weeks since I last posted with my Twinsie Tuesday girls. Today we have received mani orders from our significant others, best friends, or another family member. As you can see from the title of this post, I received my orders from my hubby bear. <insert googly eyes here>

My husband has been a dedicated member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. since the Spring of 1996. He absolutely LOVES his frat! Hehe! I can't say I am surprised, as he is not interested in my nails much, but I kinda figured this would be the route he'd go. Well, this or something with the Philadelphia Eagles (his hometown football team). Anyway, the fraternity's colors are "Ebony Black and Old Gold." <Insert a major side eye here> Don't get it wrong and say gold and black. Yeah...apparently that's practically punishable by death. Anyway, check it out...
KBShimmer Eclipse and Goldie Rocks

The fraternity was founded in 1906, so this is a very important date to the gentlemen of A Phi A. If you are anywhere around them when they are having fun, you'll likely hear them chanting "Aaaa Phi...Ooo 6." Hence, the "06" on my nails.
KBShimmer Eclipse and Goldie Rocks

The polishes used in this mani are both from my beloved KBShimmer. Goldie Rocks is a golden holo with an impeccable formula. It is being discontinued, so be sure to grab this beauty soon. Eclipse is a black creme that applies like a dream in just one coat. This baby isn't going anywhere, but if you're on the hunt for a great black creme polish, look no further. This is definitely a winner!

I really like how this turned out. I tried to come up with something that would represent his fraternity and he really liked it when I showed it to him. I can't wait to see who the other ladies received mani orders from and the looks they created. Make sure you check them out using their links below.

Nail Fabulosity- Thermal Nail Polish Review

PressSample
Hi there again lovelies! I have another review for you today. This time, I have four thermal polishes from the lovely Sherece of Nail Fabulosity. Let's take a look at what she sent me to review.

Blood Sisters, according to the maker, is a "deep burgundy/brown when cool and a vivid reddish/orange when warm." I used three thin coats and the formula was very easy to work with. This is definitely a perfect polish for the fall season!
Nail Fabulosity Blood Sisters

Out of the Blue is described as "a thermal nail polish that changes from silvery baby blue when warm to a denim colored blue when cool." This is the only polish that I had trouble achieving the thermal effect. It's most likely due to my own body temperature not fluctuating very easily. It's been super cold up here, so I am sure it didn't help. Anyway, I really love the blue color of this one. It actually has somewhat of a scattered holo appearance. Two coats were used here and the formula was really nice.
Nail Fabulosity Out of the Blue

Ms. Understood is "a thermal nail polish that changes from a silvery baby pink to a shimmery purple/pink." I absolutely adore this one! I put it on my Sweet Pea and she loved seeing the colors change right before her eyes! I used three thin coats, but two could suffice. There were absolutely no issues with the formula or application of this one at all. I love the way the name plays on those words as well! Super cute!
Nail Fabulosity Ms. Understood

Meet Me At Sunset is a "thermal polish that is shimmery coral/red when cold and shimmery yellow when warm." It has an added flair of orange, yellow, copper, and brown metallic glitter of various shapes and sizes as well. Again, this is another polish that is perfect for the fall season! I used three thin coats and topcoat for these pictures. Application was a breeze, since the formula was practically perfect. I really love this combination.

Overall, these thermals are really nice! I didn't have any issues with the formulas of the polishes and they are all really beautiful. Be sure to check out Nail Fabulosity using the information listed below.

Barielle- Me Couture Collection Review

PressSample
Happy Monday everyone! I'm super excited about the short work week because of Thanksgiving! I am certainly ready to partake in some great food and relaxing times. Unfortunately, this will be our first holiday away from our family in Florida, but we're still making a (very last minute) decision about making a trip to Philly to visit with the other side of our family. Anyway, I FINALLY have the Barielle Me Couture Fall Collection to share with you today. This collection consists of size creme polishes in a variety of very fall appropriate hues.

Taupe Notch is described as "a creamy dark taupe." This is an intensely grey leaning taupe. I used two coats and there were no issues with application.
Barielle Taupe Notch

Barielle Taupe Notch

Moda Bleu is a "creamy dark navy/purple." This one applied patchy in the first coat, but evened out perfectly with the application of the second. It is definitely super pigmented and carefully plays the line between purple and blue.  I think this color is just perfect!
Barielle Moda Bleu

Vintage Gown, according to Barielle, is "a creamy rust with a hint of pink." The pink plays out in the form of subtle shimmer. Subtle, not hidden at all. I really like this color for a palette cleanser and work. Application was a breeze, going on easily in just two coats!
Barielle Vintage Gown

Boho Chic is "a creamy deep sea green." This one had an amazing formula and was practically opaque in just one coat. I used two coats for these photos. Please excuse the harsh glare on the bottle of these pics. My lighting was trippin.

Berry Posh, a "creamy deep fuchsia," is another amazingly formulated polish in this collection. I mean, this baby practically applied itself. I used two coats and there were absolutely no issues with this one at all!

Soho at Night is described as "a creamy grape purple." The formula on this one was very weird. It applied patchy and streaky with the first coat. I ended up needing three to completely even for a nice look. I actually really love this shade of purple. Unfortunately, the formula left much to be desired.

Overall, this is a nice fall collection from Barielle. There is only one shade that is truly problematic. This collection is available on Barielle's Website now. More information is listed below.

Lynnderella Red Moon at Night Review

PressSample
Happy Sunday lovelies!! My hubby is home! Yippee! Anyway, I have a polish from Lynnderella's Light Year Collection to share with you tonight. Red Moon at Night, according to the brand, is "a dense multiglitter mix of black matte and holographic glitters. Accented with iridescent blue shards, as well as pink crystal and silver holographic micro stars. Finished with red holographic moons and a shifty red-shimmered clear base."

Lynnderella Red Moon at Night

I used one light coat and dabbed a few of the larger glitters over a purple creme. The formula was easy to work with and the glitters spread across the nails without any clumping or dragging. I really think this looks great with this base color. It's definitely dark and vampy, so darker bases are perfect.
Lynnderella Red Moon at Night

What do you think of this one? Although I am not usually a huge fan of the larger shaped glitters, I think this combination is great! Important information is listed below.

Pretty & Polished Winter & Opal Collection Review

PressSample
Hello lovelies! I hope your weekend is going well. I am anxiously awaiting my hubby's return from a business trip in San Francisco. These children have driven me completely nuts all week! LOL! Anyway, I have been busy swatching and reviewing a LOT of nail polish to share with you. Today, I have two polishes from Pretty & Polished's Winter Collection and one from the Opal Collection. Let's get right to these beauties.

Flame Queen, according to the brand, is "a green jelly base packed with multicolored flakes." I used two coats and topcoat for these photos. The formula was thick, but easy to work with. I love the depth of this one, especially when looking in different lighting. The multicolored flakes are more apparent in person. I truly wish I were able to capture them accurately here. Anyway, this is a definite beauty.

Red, Red, Wine-ter is described by the brand as a gorgeous red textured polish packed with pink and red glitters. I used three thin coats here, but you can probably get away with just two. The formula was easy to work with and there were no issues with application. I really love the play on words in naming this one!

Summer! I Miss You SO Much! is "a thermal color changing nail polish that changes from a medium pink to a light pink/white in heat." I really love this one so much!!! Such a soft and pretty combination. I used three thin coats here, but two are probably sufficient. The transition is perfect. I had an instant French tip mani, which looked really cool!

Nie-cy Polish- Get Red-E Here I Come & Trace of My Lipstick Review

 PressSample
Happy Friday lovelies! I have two polishes from Nie-cy Polish's Fall Collection to share with you today. Let's jump right into it...

Trace of My Lipstick is a deep burgundy crelly with brownish undertones. I really hope that made sense! Anyway, there were no issues with the formula and it went on easily in three coats. It was still somewhat sheer, as you can see down the middle of each nail. This was less apparent in real life. I think this color is a signature fall shade.

Get Red-E Here I Come is a true bright red creme. Again, the formula was nice and there were no issues with application. I used two coats here.

These polishes both have good formulas and are sold at a really good price. Check out Nie-cy Polish's Online Shop to purchase! Have a good night!

Polish My Life Little Red Dress

PressSample
Hiyah there Polished Babes!!! Long time, no see eh? Yeah...it really has been! Anyway, I have a beauty from Polish My Life to share with you today. Little Red Dress is a perfect brick red creme polish that is absolutely divine in just ONE COAT! Yep...you know how Shaneka does with the cremes. I tell ya, she could teach some of these mainstream brands a thing or two. Hehe!
Polish My Life Little Red Dress

As I stated above, this beauty is a one coater, but you know I used two here. It went on easily and gave me no problems at all during application. I really enjoy this type of red, as it doesn't cross into the orange spectrum at all. Perfect for the upcoming holidays!
Polish My Life Little Red Dress

Let's just take a really good look at this and take it all in. Now pick your jaw up off the floor and head to Polish My Life's Online Shop and pick up your very own "Little Red Dress." It is available as a single release and isn't a part of any collections. It retails for $9.50 for a full sized bottle. Toodles!
