She' Nail Polish Review

Press Sample
Happy Sunday Polished Babes!! As you already know, my Granny's 80th birthday celebration was yesterday. It was a big hit! She was so surprised and everything was awesome! I am so happy we have had 80 years with her and we are looking forward to many more.

Today's review comes to you from a new to me brand called She' Nail Polish. The motto for the brand is "colors that brighten up any mood." The polishes are each inspired by a particular story from the creator. Additionally, the polishes are very affordable and have a four free formula.

Midnight is a black creme polish with a super glossy finish. The formula was practically perfect and opaque in one coat. I used two because I just can't help myself. I did not use topcoat on these photos.

Her Way is a beautiful vivid blue creme. Again, the formula was excellent and had a high gloss finish. It was opaque in one coat and no topcoat was needed. I used two coats here.

A Splash of Spring is a pink creme with blue undertones. This one had a good formula and had excellent coverage, even at one coat. Two coats were needed to balance and smooth out the look. It is shown here with two coats and no topcoat.

Overall, I am really impressed with this brand. Since they all have excellent once coat coverage, I am interested in seeing how well they working with stamping and other forms of nail art. Although none of the colors are very unique in color, the formulas, durability, quality, and price are all a major plus. Each of these polishes sell for $6 for a full sized (12 ml) bottle and can be found in the She' Nail Polish Store.

You can follow the brand on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram.

Have a Happy Sunday!

B Squared Lacquer Colorful Music Collection Review

Press Sample
Happy Saturday Polished Babes! Today is my Granny's 80th Birthday! I'm so excited! We have a wonderful surprise celebration planned for this evening. My Granny is an awesome woman and she has always been one of my biggest supporters. She has believed in me, when I didn't believe in myself. Her humble, gentle, and caring spirit always had a way to get to me. She could reach me in ways that no other person has ever been able to. For these things, and so much more, I love her to LIFE!

Today's review is of a new collection from the awesome indie brand, B Squared Lacquer. The Colorful Music Collection was inspired by some of Mia's favorite artists and songs. I also have am Easter themed limited edition polish, a matte topcoat, and quick dry topcoat to show you as well. Let me just say that the quality, variety, and creativity in these polishes is absolutely impeccable. Mia is really making herself known!

*Shine B-Right topcoat was used for each of these photos*

Let's get started with Easter Basket (LE), a white crelly with an assortment of matte pastel glitters. I used two coats and topcoat for these photos. The formula was amazing, very smooth, and the glitters dispersed nicely across the nail. There was no dragging or clumping of the glitters at all. Isn't this adorable? So cute!

Body Electric is the first polish in the Colorful Music Collection. It is a white crelly with multiple sizes of blueish/purpleish and neon pink hex glitters. Again, another outstanding formula with a perfect color combination. Adding to it's glory, it dries to a really glossy finish, even without topcoat. I used three thin coats and topcoat for these photos. At first glance, I thought I would likely have something fairly similar to this one in my collection (you know I hoard white crellies...hehe!), but I do not. This is absolutely unique and I love everything about it.

Tennis Court is a super densely packed holo and metallic turquoise microglitter polish. I used three coats and topcoat for these photos. The formula was great, not too thick or thin, allowing for the perfect amount of glitters onto the nail with each coat. Do I really need to say more about this one? I mean, it is so shiny, I can't even stand it. This is one that you don't need to wear if you have to focus. It is DISTRACTING...yeah...in a good way!

Macro...

Sail, a beautiful scattered holographic glow-in-the-dark thermal polish. Whew...that was a mouthful! This one definitely has a lot going on. Sounds like a lot, eh? Well, the more the merrier, especially when keeping a good formula and holo finish. I used two coats and topcoat here. I really love the transitions in this one, as it is blue when warm and purple when cold. I must say, the purple was really blue toned and never really got to a completely darkened purple. Anyway, still a very pretty polish. Unfortunately, my brain has been in shambles and I completely forgot to take the GITD pictures to show you. I sowwy. I will take them ASAP and edit this post when done.

Warm State

Cold State

Crystallize is the only glitter topper in this collection. It has a clear base and holo shreds in purple, silver, and teal. O.M.G...I freakin LOVE this polish! I used ONE coat over a black creme polish and it looks absolutely amazing! Once topcoat was added, it seriously looked like some sort of artwork! The formula was nice on this one. It has the perfect balance of suspension base (I think that's what it is, but don't quote me on that) and glitters. It picks up just enough to give excellent coverage in one coat or you can continue to add coats to your liking. I think it dispersed perfectly in one coat, as shown here. I just love this look! <insert googly eyes here>

After picking my jaw up off the floor, I decided to add B Matte Topcoat to create a different look. Oh my...I think I may like this better than the glossy version! This matte topcoat worked really well. It has a nice consistency and only took one coat to achieve a fully matte look. That's great to me, because I have often found that I need a few coats of a matte topcoat to really have a distinguished matte look. I can't be the only one, right? Even if you are too shy to admit it, I think you would really appreciate less coats. *Hint Hint*

Lastly, is the one I was looking forward to the most. Royals. Some of you may recall the frenzy of excited polish addicts when Mia showed a picture of this one a few weeks ago. She left us all wide eyed and yearning for this beauty and she has delivered! First off, I LOVE the song and I'm pretty sure I could wear this polish everyday for the rest of my life and be a very happy woman. No, really. I am so serious. Anyway, Royals is a blurple jelly with holo microglitters and pink and teal flashes of color. This is two coats and topcoat. Now watch her shine!

Macro...

Shine B-Right Topcoat was a very nice topcoat. It dried rather quickly, although it isn't the fastest drying topcoat I have tried. Nonetheless, it is a very good quality, super shiny, and has a great price! I used it for each of these photos (where topcoat is indicated) and I have also used it along with other indie and mainstream brand polishes. I am really pleased with the results. I did not experience any shrinkage, chipping, and my manis stayed really shiny until they were removed. At $6 for a full sized (15 ml) bottle, I think this is a really good product.

Overall, Mia has not failed me yet! As a new indie brand, she really stepped onto the scene and made a MAJOR statement. I think that statement is loud and clear. Each of her collections have been amazing, with great creativity and excellent formulas. This Colorful Music Collection is no exception.

This collection, Easter Basket, and the topcoats will be released today (March 29th) at 8PM CDT.

B Squared Lacquer's Online Store can be found HERE. Be sure to follow the brand on Instagram and Facebook.

Happy Saturday!

Polish Addict Nail Color Romeo & Juliet

Press Sample
Happy Friday everyone! I am really excited for this weekend. My Granny turns 80 tomorrow and we're having a HUGE birthday celebration for her. She's gonna be so surprised. The boys are already in Jacksonville for spring break and hubby is out of town. Kendi and I will head up tomorrow afternoon to start preparing for the festivities and hubby will come in the evening.

Today I have two polishes from Polish Addict Nail Color that were included in the entire USPS debacle from last month, which is why these are being shown waaaaaay after they've been released. Nonetheless, I have them in my possession now and they are AMAZING! In order to avoid my usual rambling and redundancy, I will go ahead and put it all out there. Both of these polishes have EXCELLENT formulas, no undies were used, and I applied topcoat on each.

Romeo...oh Romeo, wherefore art...oh sorry. I got a little carried away. Anywho, Romeo is "a gray crelly with silver flakies, a mix of holo black, holo teal and matte white glitters." Sigh....he's such a hunk! Seriously, this polish is perfect in every way. The colors, formula, glitter ratio...I mean, this dude has it all! Here he is with two super smooth coats.

Juliet is such lovely and  feminine beauty. She  is a "white crelly with gold flakies, a mix of holo gold and holo rose glitters." As a lover of all white based crellies, this one is just sheer perfection. From what I can recall, Juliet came from a very wealthy family, so the inclusion of gold in her namesake polish is perfect! This is 3 thin coats of Juliet. Two coats would be just fine, but I preferred three for the photos.

So what do you think of Romeo & Juliet? I think they are gorgeous! Guess what? They are still available in Polish Addict's Big Cartel Store. These polishes retail for $9 for full size (15 ml) and $4.50 for a mini (7 ml). You also have a shot to win a $15 Gift Card to Polish Addict's store, as they are one of the sponsors of my current giveaway. Be sure to follow the brand on Facebook and Instagram.

Toodles!

Twinsie Tuesday- Winter to Spring Transition Polish

Nothing to Disclose
Happy Twinsie Tuesday!!! OMG...I have been so sick!! Last week Tony (my 9 year old son) caught a stomach virus, which Kendall seemed to catch a little on Friday, and this weekend it got to me, my oldest son, and my mom. YUCK! Last night I had my first meal since Friday and thankfully, I seemed to have weathered that storm. Anyway, let's look at some nails...

Today the Twinsies are showing a "winter to spring transition polish." Hmm...my best guess of what that means is for a polish that sort of walks that thin line from one to the other season. Or maybe it's a polish that brings you out of the misery of winter (since so many of you have had horrible winters). I really don't know. Again, I am a true Floridian and we don't really experience the true seasons that others do, so I am taking my thought process along the lines of fashion.

Here is the beautiful Picture Polish Whimsy.

Whimsy is a light blue/aqua creme polish with golden shimmer. The gold flashes may be microglitters. I'm actually not really sure. Whatever the case, this is a super gorgeous polish with the great formula that Picture Polish is known for. I used three coats and no topcoat here.

Yep. Whimsy did it. This is what I think of when transitioning from winter to spring. Perhaps, I will one day truly get to experience what that means. *wink* I'm sure the other Twinsies have some great choices as well. Be sure to stop by their blogs using the links below.

Jindie Nails Pink Stilettos

Press Sample
Howdy there lovelies!! Today I have a collaboration shade that was created by Jindie Nails for the super awesome Polishaholic Ria G. You may know Ria with her super long stiletto nails. They are unbelievably long and perfectly healthy. Her nails are definitely a staple and desired by many. Jen of Jindie Nails has decided to dive into blogger collaboration polishes, with a series of individual releases, instead of an entire blogger collection. You know Jen is always going to throw her own spin on things, as she is always breaking away from the norm. Super exciting, right?! I am excited to see the bloggers who are chosen for these collaborations and their visions come to light. Let's see what happens...

Pink Stilettos is described by the creator in the following manner: "Pink Stilettos is a pastel pink cream/jelly with scatter and linear holographic glitters.  It also has a very pretty pink/gold shifting shimmer added to it.  This one can be worn alone, with no base coat and opaque in about 2 or 3 coats."  This shade is perfectly soft and apparently demonstrates Ria's vision perfectly!

I used two coats and no topcoat for these photos. Application was a breeze, as the formula was superb! The scattered holographic particles are perfectly balanced with the delicate nature of the base color. The addition of the gold shimmer really sends this one over the top. Whether in sunlight or regular lighting conditions, this baby packs a true punch and the holo isn't shy at all!

This photo was taken in sunlight. Isn't she lovely?!

These next photos are taken in my lightbox. See what I mean? Still shining light a pink diamond! Ahhh!!

Overall, Jen and Ria G. really started these collaborations shades of well. This polish will be released on the Jindie Nails Website in April 2014. Make sure you're following Jindie Nails on social media (links provided below) to stay up to date on the launch date and other new releases. You can also check out Ria's blog post where she debuted this beauty recently by clicking HERE.

Happy Day Folks!

L.A. Girl Color Pop: Delight, Leap, & Dragon Fruit Review

Press Sample
Hi there lovelies! Today's post is dedicated to another mainstream brand that I have the pleasure to review for you. I was sent six polishes and I will be showing you three of them today. The L.A. Girl Color Pop! collections have a wide range of colors from delicate to bold and finishes ranging from cream to glitter. I am sure you will find these polishes beautiful and the price point is definitely a plus!

Delight is a soft lilac creme with subtle silver shimmer. Though subtle, the shimmer is just enough to compliment this soft shade. It is visible, but not overpowering. I used three coats without topcoat. The formula was slightly patchy on the first and second coats, but leveled out nicely upon application of the third. I am not quite sure, but this may have been due to the slightly frayed brush that was included with this bottle. Either way, the formula was okay overall and it is definitely worth the minor issues with application. This is a perfect springy color!

Leap is a bright neon green crelly type formula. Talk about bright! Ha! This is definitely a true neon color. I used four coats without topcoat. The formula was really sheer and streaky on the first coat. Application was easy, even with four coats. The polish dried to a high shine and is a really eye catching color. Perfect for the summer!

Dragon Fruit is a vivid pink creme with gold shimmer. I absolutely adore this shade of pink and the gold shimmer makes it perfect! The formula on this one was absolutely AMAZING and it was nearly opaque in one easy coat. I still used two coats because of my personal preference, but you can certainly get away with one (especially if you have short nails). This polish dries to a semi/demi (?) matte finish, so topcoat was used. The topcoat brought out an intense shine and the gold shimmer really came alive. This is my favorite of all the polishes I was sent to review from this brand.

Overall, I am really impressed with these polishes. Aside from the minor application issues and the weird brush in Delight, these are all really good polishes to add to my collection. What you will also love about them is the price. These are really good quality and range in price from $3-$5. You can purchase L.A. Girl polishes at Rite Aid stores and on the brand's website by clicking HERE.

Have you tried this brand? The last three polishes will be posted soon. Stay tuned!

Have a Happy Hump Day!

Twinsie Tueday- Tip Nail Art

Nothing to Disclose
Happy Twinsie Tuesday!! As you can see from the title of this post, the Twinsies are bringing you our tip nail art for today's posts. I am assuming tip nail art is just referring to nail art that is located on the tip of your nails. Yeah...that makes perfect sense and if it means anything different, please excuse me. Anywho... let's get right into this post.

I used these three beauties from Girly Bits Cosmetics. All of these polishes are super holo and gorgeous! I'm so happy that they are in my collection.
L to R: Crantini, D!ck in a Box, & Get Weaponized
I started with a base of two coats of D!ck in a Box, which a gunmetal silver holo with pink and teal flashes. I have wanted this since it was first released. I crack up at the name, as it is a great play on words without stepping into the trashy lane that some polish names have gone. Overall, this polish is just GAWJUSS!

For my tip nail art, I used chevron decals from Make It Stick Nail Designs to create a diagonal chevron pattern using Crantini and Get Weaponized. I added an accent nail by creating the same chevron design across the entire ring finger nail.

In all, the design isn't quite what I pictured, but I think it is cute. These colors play very well together and are some of my favorites to use together. What actually helps this mani come together is that I used these super beautiful shades from Girly Bits.

What do you think of this design? Do you have any suggestions for tip nail art designs for me to try? As always, be sure you head over to all of the other Twinsies' blogs using the links below. A few of the ladies expressed their excitement about their designs, so I can't wait to see what they created!
