Hiyah there Polished Babes! I hope you all have been doing well! Are you ready for the winter season to begin? Although the winter season has not officially began, it has felt like winter here in New England for a while. I'm becoming accustomed to the weather and difference in lifestyle much easier than I thought I would. Today I have a post that is loooooooong overdue. Sowwy. I have broken up the review into two parts, since the collection is rather large.. Today's review brings you one holo, five crellies, and two jellies from KBShimmer's Winter Collection.
Deja Brew, according to the brand, is "a brown polish has red undertones that set off the linear holographic rainbow." This one had a thick and creamy consistency, which was really easy to use. It was opaque in one coat, but two were used. There were no issues with application. I absolutely adore this polish! Such beauty!
Snow Way! is "features a pale, sky blue crelly base with white glitters." I used three thin coats. You want to make sure you wait in between coats to prevent the glitters from dragging. The larger glitters tended to clump together a little, but was alleviated by the use of very thin coats. This one is a return from a past collection.
Mauve On Over is "a pale-mauve crelly base with hexes in orange, navy and aqua." The formula on this one is was great! I used three thin coats and had no issues whatsoever. I really love the muted nature of this polish. It's a nice combination of glitter colors, that is complimented perfectly with the light mauve colored crelly base.
Merry Pinkmas is another polish that returned from a previous release. According to the brand, this one is "a light cotton candy pink polish featuring red, green and neon glitters in a variety of shapes." I used two coats here. There were some issues with the larger glitters clumping together, as this one is very densely packed. It wasn't really problematic and didn't negatively impact the overall application and look of the polish.
All Decked Out, according to the brand, is "a Christmas tree inspired polish with a forest green jelly base with a rainbow of hex glitters and a scattering of gold stars." I remember when this one was first released! I purchased it during my first order with KBShimmer. I actually ended up gifting it after wearing it for Christmas that year, so I am happy to see that it has returned. The formula was excellent, going on without any issues in just two coats. This is definitely a Christmas Tree in a bottle! Perfect for a Christmas Day manicure!
Let's Sleigh Together is a "pale gray polish featuring hex glitters in green, navy and pale mint, with circles and micro glitters." This is another with a flawless formula. I used two thin coats and it was perfect! I think this is such a great color combo. It can definitely liven up a very laid back dress day.
Fallen Angel is "a vibrant royal blue jelly featuring holographic blue triangles, and micro sparkles." This one is so vibrant and beautiful! The formula is great, going on easily in three thin coats. I think the triangles look super cute floating in the vibrant blue jelly. This is the type of polish that KBShimmer always executes perfectly. This one is another favorite.
This final polish is my absolute favorite polish. It is, perhaps, one of the most beautiful polishes I have ever worn! Sugar Plum Faerie was previously released and a definite fan favorite. It is "a soft plum violet crelly with berry, purple and lime colored metallic holographic glitters in different sizes." Ummm...yes please! I can wear this polish everyday for the rest of my life and I would be very happy! Anyway, let me focus. The formula was absolutely perfect in every way. I used three thin coats and there were no issues with application. Although there are a lot of glitters included, they are in the perfect ratio. They do not clump together or drag. Again....LOVE!!
Well, that's all for this portion of KBShimmer's Winter Collection. These polishes are currently available in their online shop. They retail for $8.75 for a full sized bottle. Stay tuned for Part 2 of the collection. I also have a review coming for the winter themed nail vinyls and cuticle oils. You don't want to miss those!
