Happy Twinsie Tuesday! Yes...this is a Twinsie Tuesday post. Hehe! Today's theme is "I've been meaning to..." Unfortunately, I am still a bit behind with some of my blogging duties, so I took this post quite literally. In accordance with the theme, "I've been meaning to" review the Zoya Ultra PixieDust Collection for several weeks! LOL! I know...pitiful, but I gotta do what I gotta do. Let's take a look...
Here is the way Zoya introduced these new additions to their PixieDusts to us in the press release.
"Meet the next generation of our best-selling textured, matte and sparkling Zoya PixieDust formula Zoya Ultra PixieDust! Three shades featuring both fine micro glitter and mega hex particles for tone on tone 3D effects. This easy glam nail is available in 3 shades in a gradient of red, wine and plum hues. No base or top coat required."
Noir, according to the brand, is "a deep vampy plum, textured PixieDust with red mega hex particles." I used three thin coats for these pictures. Application was easy and there were no issues. There was some discrepancy regarding the actual finish of these, which became very apparent after this one was dry. It does not appear to dry to a true matte finish. Regardless, I really like the color of this one and it's my favorite of this collection.
Arianna is described as a "blue-toned red wine, textured PixieDust with mega hex particles." Like Noir, the formula was pretty good and gave me no issues at all. I used three thin coats for these pictures. This one did not dry to a completely matter finish either. Lovely color for the fall!
Oswin is a "true red, textured PixieDust with mega hex particles." This one also had a really good formula. I used two coats for these photos. This one actually dried to a matte finish, which is what the others are supposed to do. Honestly, I like the finish of the others better than this one. The red color of this one has a really festive feel. This would spice up any holiday themed manicure.
The Zoya Ultra PixieDust Collection is available now on Zoya's Website. These retail for $10 and can be purchased online or in Ulta stores. As I stated above, Noir is my favorite. What do you think of these? Be sure to check out the "I've been meaning to" posts from the other Twinsies.
