Mod Lacquer Interstellar Artifact, High Strangeness, & Sasquatch Review

Hello there lovelies! Today I have so much awesomeness to share with you, I can hardly contain myself. Mod Lacquer is an indie that makes some gorgeous polishes of various finishes and colors. As a holo lover, I have been mostly drawn to her holographic polishes. They are ridiculous. And by ridiculous, I mean amazing. And by amazing, I mean RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING! I know...a bit dramatic, but I am so serious right now. How about you take a look for yourself...

Interstellar Artifact is described by the brand as "a light peach/pink linear holographic polish." Ummm....so, let's start there. Before looking at the description, I noted it as a golden holo with peachy undertones. That's what I see. I don't see anything pink about it, to be honest. Regardless, let's just take a moment to stare at her. <moment> Isn't she a beauty? Ahhh... The formula was absolutely amazing. It went on easily in three thin coats. There were no issues with application. Adding to the charm of this beauty is the fact that you can still see the holo and shimmer in lower lighting! Yes!

Next up is High Strangeness, a "violet linear holographic polish." If you recall, I previewed this one in a nail art post HERE. The holo on this polish is one of the strongest linear holo flames I have ever worn. Seriously. Wow. Just WOW. I can't even deal. The formula was great and went on without any issues in three thin coats. Just like Interstellar Artifact, the holo and shimmer is apparent in lower lighting settings. The purple lover in me adores this one!

The last polish I have is called Sasquatch, "a warm golden brown shimmering polish with gold flakies." This one is extremely complex and nearly impossible to accurately capture. Well, for me anyway. It has different personalities where it sometimes appears to lean more toward a copper, brown, or gold tone. The flakies are much more apparent in person than they are in these photos. Again...bad photographer, great polish. I used two coats, but it was practically opaque in just one. The formula was magnificent and gave me no issues at all. This is definitely a fall color that I will be rocking throughout this season.

Overall, these three polishes from Mod Lacquer are a major win for me. I really like all of them and they are of amazing quality. These polishes are currently available for $9.50 to $11 for full sized bottles. I am hard pressed to pick a favorite, but I'd likely have to go with High Strangeness if forced to choose. What's your favorite? Have you tried this brand before?

  1. I own Interstellar Artifact. When I first bought it, I assumed it was orange based on the picture's on their site. I was a little disappointed when it arrived...However, after putting it on, I was amazed at how neutral this polish is. (My bottle reminds me of a light tan holo). The possibilities are endless. It is one of those must-have's for me. I love everything from Mod Lacquer. The formulas are perfection!
