Happy Wednesday! I can't believe it's October already! This year is going by way too fast. The Halloween nail polish collections are rolling out quickly. I am excited to show you these pretties from Colors by Llarowe because this is my first time officially blogging for the brand! Yay me! As you already know, I love the brand and have so many polishes in my collection, so this is beyond exciting and such an honor. The "I Love Candy Corn" Halloween Trio consists of two holographic jelly polishes and one crelly with flakies. Let's go ahead and take a look at these babies!
Punkin' is described by the brand as "a bright orange holo." As I mentioned above, this is a jelly based holo. The holo is super stunning and scattered in appearance. Since it's created with a jelly base, it is sheer, especially on the first coat. It was absolutely perfect in three coats. There were no issues with application and no staining upon removal. Even though it's bright, it's perfect for Halloween and the fall season. Me likey!
Witchipoo, according to the brand, is "a bright yellow holo." Again, this one is also jelly based and very sheer. I found this one to be extremely sheer, taking four coats to reach opacity. There was still some slightly noticeable VNL, but not too prominent in life or on the photos. Aside from the sheer nature of the formula, it was actually really good. It applied easily and there were no major issues with application. I find this shade of yellow very flattering on my complexion. Perhaps, this will be great for layering and creating jelly sammiches!
What Knockers! is described as "a blackened gunmetal grey chrome with orange flakies." This one is extremely complex. It appears to be more of a blackened brown colored crelly base with orange and copper flakies. That's just what I see. Either way...GORGEOUS! The formula was really good; however, it went on slightly patchy with the first coat. Application of the second coat made it look perfect instantly. I used a third thin coat because I love it so much, I didn't want to stop! Hehe! The flakies provide extra dimension and gives this one a super complex appearance. I used two coats of topcoat to create a glossy finish, as this one dries to semi-matte. I am not sure what was wrong with my camera, but it didn't want to pick up the gloss. I promise it was super shiny and oh so pretty! There were no application issues and I haven't taken this off since! LOL!
Overall, I think this is a great Halloween Trio. If you can't already tell, What Knockers! is my favorite from the group. These will be launched on Llarowe's Website on October 1st. These are limited edition, so make sure you grab them before they're gone forever. You can purchase the set for $33 (HERE) or each polish individually for $12.
