Happy Monday Polished Babes! I hope you had a great weekend! I watched a lot of football and just relaxed at home with my family. Today, I have another fall collection to bring to you. This one is from Polish My Life. This is my first time officially reviewing for the brand and I am so excited to be welcomed aboard by Shaneka and her team! I am sure you will enjoy the Fall In Love Garden Collection that I have for you today. Polish My Life is known for her amazing cremes and this collection does not stray from that at all. I was also sent PML's Le Top Coat to review. All swatches are shown with a thin layer of topcoat.
First up is, Poppy Petals, a hot pink jelly hybrid type of polish. Although I feel this one is a creme/jelly hybrid, it leans more toward the creme side of the spectrum. It has thick consistency that makes application super easy. The thickness is a very good kind, not to be mistaken for goopy or problematic formulas. This polish went on easily in three thin coats. Please be advised that this one causes slight staining upon removal. It came off very easily with a few extra strokes of remover.
Money Tree is a deep hunter green creme polish. The formula on this one as good and was opaque in just two coats. The first coat was slightly patchy, but the second coat made this one absolutely flawless. This is one that I was admiring from the preview photos and it does not disapppoint.
Don't Snap My Dragon is a bright reddish orange creme. This one has the hybrid type of consistency of Poppy Petals. Even so, it was practically opaque in one coat. I used two coats and the formula was so perfect, it seemed to have applied itself. I LOVE this color!
Plum Mums is a deep purple creme with a FLAWLESS formula. Seriously. This is as close to perfect as one can get. It was completely opaque in just one coat, but you know I had to use two per the usual. There is nothing bad to say about this polish. I just love it! This is one purple that is a perfect fall hue, but gorgeous enough to make a statement during any season.
Blue Pansy is a deep navy blue creme. It is extremely pigmented, but keeps it beautiful blue color in all lighting. It does not ever look black, as is the case with some navy blues. The formula was amazing like the others and went on easily in two coats. This one could possibly be a one coater as well. I really loved how shiny this one was, even before topcoat was added.
The final polish in the collection is Nude Lace, a vanilla colored neutral creme. I used two coats and topcoat for these photos. The formula was good and applied very easily. I really like how this one self-leveled, even after I had a slight application mishap on a few nails. In my opinion, this neutral can look great on any complexion, during any season.
Le Top Coat, according to the brand, is a "5-free, brilliant, high shine, chip resistant, fast dry topcoat." I used this topcoat for all of the polishes included with this collection. Overall, I am really impressed with the performance. It appeared to dry very quickly, although I am not yet able to determine how it does compared to other fast drying topcoats. It is definitely very shiny, but PML's polishes dry to a super gloss finish alone. Since that is the case, I actually have been using this topcoat with other polish brands, both mainstream and indie. I am pleased to say, it worked well with other brands. One of the funniest/weirdest/most amazing things I realized with this topcoat is that it has a sort of "bouce back" quality. Before taking m pictures for Blue Pansy, I mistakenly hit two nails. They both had visible dents in them. I started making my way back to my desk to redo those nails and they appeared to disappear. I was like wait...what? It was really weird. So being the weirdo that I am, I slightly dented them again, and they slowly popped back up to perfection! I don't know if I was tripping or what, but I have never had a topcoat do this. My nails were completely dry within in minutes. I loved that there was no shrinkage of the polishes either. AMAZING! Again, I haven't had the time to really see if this one will hold up over time, but so far it is promising.
