Happy Saturday lovelies! I hope you had a good week. Do you have any weekend plans? Well, I don't. Hopefully you can have fun for the both of us. Today I have a post that is waaaaaay overdue. I am still catching up on a few things since moving, but as I mentioned the other day, I'm back on track now. I have the Cosmetically Speaking Collection from DIFFERENT dimension and it is a fantastic collection! This post is extremely picture heavy and there's a giveaway at the end.
Luminosity is a mauve polish with a golden shimmer. The formula was good and there were no application issues. I used three coats here. The golden shimmer is especially pretty in the mauve base.
Speed of Light is a taupe shimmer polish with mauve and purple undertones. This one leans heavily toward the grey side of the taupe spectrum. The formula on this one was somewhat goopy or sticky. It wasn't so problematic that it prevented application, but it caused patches upon application of the second coat. After the third coat was applied, the polish self-leveled and appeared even.
Pluto Is Still a Planet to Me is demin-like dusty blue color with gold shimmer. It also appeared to have slight flashes of aqua shimmer as well. The formula on this one was okay and there were no application issues. I used three coats for these photos.
Solar Flares, according to the maker is a "dusty peachy taupe shimmer." This one leans more towards the beige end of the taupe spectrum and the peach colored shimmer is amazing! This one is perfect for work. You can still show your personality without using a straight nude polish! I used four coats with this one, as the formula was extremely sheer.
White Dwarf is a grey shimmer polish with rainbow colored flakies. This one was also very sheer, but went on nicely in four coats. I really love the way this one looks!
Halley's Comet is a dusty lavender polish with golden shimmer. It also has some dark purple shimmers as well. I used three easy coats here. The formula was great and there were no issues with application. This one is absolutely gorgeous! I LOVE it!
Light Year is a golden olive polish with gold shimmer. This was one of the more opaque ones from the collection. I needed only two coats for opacity. The formula was flawless. There were no issues with application.
Ultraviolet is a pink holo with flashes of purple. The formula was perfect and went on effortlessly in just two coats. The holo is ridiculous, even in low lighting. While wearing this, I felt really dainty! I don't know why, but that's what kept coming to my mind. LOL!
Black Hole, according to the brand, is "a multi-chrome shimmer, flashing purple and gold." This is all perfectly packed into a black jelly base. This one is absolutely amazing! I love the color shifts. They are very prominent and I tried to capture them as best I could. I used two to threeish coats and the formula was great! There were no issues with application.
Heavenly Waters is the second holographic polish in this collection. This is a vivid blue holo with an extreme holo flame. The formula was amazing and went on without any issues. It was opaque in just one coat, but I used two out of habit. There was one thing I'd like to note with this polish, which wasn't related at all to application. A lot of blues have a funky kind of smell because of the pigments that are used. I am not usually bothered by them, but this polish was different for some reason. To me, the smell was very potent and caused me to feel a bit queasy. Don't get me wrong, this is in no way a defect or any issue that the seller can correct, it's just how it is with many blue polishes. I wanted to let you know about my experience with this, just in case you were thinking of purchasing it. Again, this was just my experience and I don't recall seeing any other reviews that mentioned it. Everyone's sense of smell has different levels of sensitivity.
Supernova is another multi-chrome shimmer polish with flashes of teal and purple in a black jelly base. The formula was good, but surprisingly sheer. I used three coats for opacity. There were no issues with application.
Big Bang is a densely packed silver holographic microglitter polish. The formula was good, especially considering the amount of glitters loaded into this baby. I used two easy coats for these photos. I would recommend waiting several minutes between coats to prevent the glitters from dragging on the first coat. This polish is amazing and definitely one to catch you a lot of attention!
Milky Way is another multi-chrome shimmer polish. This one has green and golden flashes in a black jelly base. I used 3 coats, as the formula was pretty sheer. Even so, the formula was good and there were no issues with application.
Last, but definitely not least, is PULSAR! This one is super special to me because it is my blogaversary custom. Missi was kind enough to bring my vision to life perfectly. When she saw how it fit with the theme, she asked about including it with the collection. Ummm...yes!! I really love it and I appreciate her taking the time to create this for me. Pulsar is a vivid purple with blue undertones. It also has golden shimmer as well! The formula is AMAZING! I used three coats and there were no issues with application.
This collection is available for purchase now. You can visit the store by clicking HERE. Missi donated two full size bottles of Pulsar to be used in a giveaway. Granted, this was supposed to occur last month, but it's better late than never. Right? Check below for the details to enter.
