Happy Wednesday lovelies! Recently I was contacted by Bundle Monster to review some products for them. I have the first of those reviews for you today. A Day in the Glitter Collection is one of the Glitzy Glitter collection series, consisting of six glitter toppers in a clear base. I would like to note that these had a very strong smell. It could possibly be me, as I have recently become more sensitive to smells, but I had to have a small fan on an the windows open while swatching these. Anyway, let's go ahead and check them out!
Party Deck contains blue and white squares, hexes, and bars in clear base. I used one coat over Milani Dollface (previously reviewed here). The glitter is densely packed, so one careful coat was sufficient. One coat of topcoat was used to smooth everything out.
Cherries on Top is a red, white, and pink glitter with hexes, squares, and bars. I used two light coats over Milani Bombshell (reviewed here). The formula on this one was nice. The glitters spread evenly across the nail without any issues. This combination seems very Valentine's Day-ish. One coat of topcoat helped this dry to a glossy finish.
Boy Crazy is a glitter topper with small white hexes. as well as, light and dark blue medium hexes. One dabbed coat was used over Milani Corrupted Coral (click here for previous swatch). This one had a very problematic formula. The base was extremely thick. It was very difficult to apply, which is why I ended up dabbing the coat on. The glitters in this one also clumped together a lot and were very difficult to separate. Lastly, two coats of topcoat were needed to create a smooth finish. This is likely due to the clumping issues.
Teeny Bikini consists of light pink and white medium hexes and white bars. I used one coat over Milani Charcoal Charm (review coming soon). The glitters were very dense, but applied without any issues. The formula was nice and easy to work with. I used one coat of topcoat.
Under the Pier is a very Patriotic glitter mix. It has red, white, and blue medium sized hexes and white bars in a clear base. I used two light coats over Milani Frenchie Sheer. I really like the way the glitters pop out over the sheer base. There were no issues with application and one coat of topcoat was needed.
Mimosas for Breakfast is a clear based glitter topper with peach and white glitters. The formula was really good on this one and there were no issues with application. I used two coats over Milani Blue Print (review coming soon). A thin layer of topcoat was used to smooth it out.
Overall, these are some nice glitter toppers. They aren't too busy and don't have super large glitters that some people dislike. Aside from the strong smell and the application issue with one, this is a decent collection. You can purchase these as a set for $17.50 or individually for $2.99.
