Zoya Natureal Deux Collection Review

Press Sample
Happy Friday lovelies! Today I have a review of the Zoya Naturel Deux Collection. This collection caught me off guard for two reasons: (1) It kind of popped up on everyone and it was introduced as a transitional collection and (2) The shades are darker neutrals, which I knew would look great on my complexion. Although this collection seems to be universally flattering, I must admit... I think it is absolutely perfect for us brown beauties! The formula on all of these was fantastic, so this is a definite win!

Chanelle is described by Zoya as "a toasted almond creme." I used two easy coats, but it was opaque with the first. The formula was flawless! Hmmm..."mannequin hands."

Marnie is described as "a deep, warm plum creme." Again...absolute perfection in a bottle! This one was a perfect one coater, but I always use two. This is one I was really looking forward to and it did not disappoint. At this point in the swatching process, I was sure this was my favorite.

Madeline, according to Zoya, is "muted rose creme." I wasn't took keen on this one from the press release or the way it looks in the bottle. My oh my...was I sadly mistaken! This polish really blew me away! It practically applied itself and went on without any issues in two coats. This is one of those mauve-ish colors that are stereotypically grandma polishes. However, there is nothing granny like about this one! It is absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to wear it again. Move over Marnie...Madeline is my new fave!

Emilia is a "dark chocolate creme." Now I LOVE me some dark chocolate! From my man to the candy! Hehe! This dark brown creme had a good formula, but was slightly thinner than the others in this collection. Please do not take that as a bad thing. It still had a good formula, great coverage, and easy application. I used two coats here. It dried to a super glossy finish as well.

Aubrey is a "medium mauve creme." Again, this had an amazing formula and was completely opaque in ONE FREAKIN COAT!! Ahhh....just perfect! Anyway, let me gather myself and get back to it. It is shown here with two coats. Oh yeah...this is now my favorite! Sorry Marnie and Madeline!

Spencer, according to Zoya, is "a rich caramel creme." I am pretty sure this polish was made for me. Yeah...seriously. The formula blew me away again and this came really close to being the shade that gives me "mannequin hands." Yes please! It is actually much closer to my complexion than it appears in these photos. She is shown here in just two coats. I am so happy I ended with Spencer because I didn't want to take it off!

In all, this collection is a total win for me. As you can see, I had a difficult time choosing a favorite, so I am saying this entire collection is my favorite! There isn't anything about this collection that I don't like. Zoya really knocked this out of the park with this one. I love how flattering each of these were on my complexion. Again, these are universally flattering, but these are some must have neutrals for brown and darker complexions. I know I will be picking these up very soon as I begin my interviewing process here in New England. I'm sure hubby is glad to hear that! LOL! Anyway, you can find the Naturel Deux Collection on Zoya's Website. Be sure to follow the brand on social media as well...

  7. As much as I like to hate on mauves, since I started polishing my nails 30 years ago, I've just got to admit they are incredibly flattering. No wonder they spent so many years as a dominant polish color.
