GUEST POST- Shelby Lou Nails

Wow...is it me or does it feel like this month is flying by? Anyway, today I have an awesome guest post from Shelby Lou Nails. Shelby is a fellow social worker, as she also has a MSW. Yeah...we rock! Hehe! This girl has some beautiful nails! She's one of those people that can wear any color and it looks absolutely amazing! Her nail art is always classy and perfectly executed. Take a look below to see what I mean...

Polished to Precision is one year old on August 1st, woohoo! Does anyone else feel like Tiffany has been blogging for so much longer though? Her gorgeous nails and swatches are some of my favorite to see, and they are everywhere! When Tiffany first asked me to guest-post for her I almost fell off my computer chair. Tiffany, the P2P rockstar, wants my nails?! Needless to say, I am so honored and thrilled to be on her blog today. Fun fact: Not only are Tiffany and I both polish-obsessed bloggers, we also both have a master's degree in social work (MSW). We are true peers in polish and career field! I knew I'd have to have a fabulous design for Tiffany, and it doesn't get more fabulous than a neon and nude animal print. When Spring and Summer come around all I want is neon and nude, preferably in oranges, corals, and blue-greens. Here is the look I came up with.
Neon-Nude Leopard Spots for Polished to Precision!
I started with a base of OPI My Vampire Is Buff, a perfect summer nude. I decided to use a leopard print image from the MoYou London Pro Collection XL-04. The MoYou XL plates work well for my swatch nails (you know, the ones I photograph) which I consider on the larger side. If I stamp carefully I can get my thumbs covered too, I just need to take my time and make sure the image is straight. I stamped the spots with Zoya Wendy, one of my favorite shades of pinky-coral. Ok, it's not exactly neon but it is bright! I initially wanted to add some holo and/or glitter, but I added some gold rectangle studs instead for some metallic shimmer. This is something I consider to be a quick and easy design, but Oh. My. God. It is like a holy trinity of creamy coral, nude, and gold! I want to wear it in all the colors for the rest of the summer.

Thanks for checking out my nails today P2P readers! And thank you so much, Tiffany, for having me (I will be all fangirl crazy about this for quite awhile). Most importantly, a big congratulations on your one-year blogaversary, Tiffany! I hope to see many more years and manis from you, girlie!

Seriously Shelby...this is just the cutest mani! It is so dainty and feminine! I love it! I really appreciate you sharing with us today! Make sure you follow her blog by clicking HERE. You should also take a look and follow @shelbylounails on Instagram.

  4. I love how the spots have a 3D look to them. The addition of the gold studs adds a completely different feel to the manicure than a traditional leopard print. Amazing job =)
