Happy Sunday lovelies! Today, Babi of ColorSutraa is coming to us all the way from India! She is there visiting her family, preparing for her sister's wedding, and probably breaking the bank shopping! Babi is such a funny chick! She and I could definitely hang out and that's the plan. Since I am now in the North East, we are planning to meet up in New York City for a day of shopping. I am sure we she will also come on over to New England and we can do the same! LOL! Look at the mani she created using my favorite manicure colors!
Hi there, my darlings...and Tiffany's darlings! If you don't know me, I'm Babi, the super chatty voice of ColorSutraa. I've known Tiffany, or Tissamy as she'll forever be in my mind because of her adorable baby girl, for just a bit now through the blogging world and I already adore her! We, along with a couple of mutual blogger friends, spend hours messaging each other about our blogs, our lives and all the little gossip that girlfriends love to share! So when she asked me to guest post for her while she moved from one city to another (very happily close to me), I was more than thrilled!
For this post, I wanted to create a simple but eye-catching nail art look for those of you who are like me and still can't quite get the hang of the intricate designs one sees all over Instagram. Ah, all we can do is sigh and keep practicing! But, in the meantime, what could be easier and cuter than a fabulous dotticure?!
Let's start with the polishes and tools I used for this look first, shall we? I used some of my favorite polishes from three of my favorite brands :
- Colors by Llarowe in Young Turks, Smooth Criminal and Lucy, I'm Home
- Smitten Polish in Audrey's Rainbow
- OPI Funkey Dunkey
...and of course, my trusty dotting tools!
You may be wondering why these particular polishes. Well, I asked Tiffany what her favorite colors were and prompt came the answer : purple, mint, coral and teal. And I rummaged through my stash and found my faves in these colors. First, I used OPI Funkey Dunkey as a base and then it was a matter of adding dots of various sizes with the other four polishes. And here's the result!
Here's a quick shot with flash!
So there you have it, my darlings! I hope you like it as much as I loved creating it! If you would like to find me in the social media world, check out the links below :
Thank you so much Babi! I am always down for a good dotticure! Love it!
