Hi there Polished Babes! I hope your week is going well. I've had an eventful week thus far, which included my oldest son coming down with a virus and my husband being attacked by two pitbulls. Unfortunately, these are the same pitbulls that attacked my oldest son last summer. WOOSAH...yeah...talk about PISSED. Anyway, I have the Summer Magical Pixies from Zoya to share with you today. According to Zoya, these polishes are created with the "ultra textured, matte, holographic Magical Pixie Dust formula." These are different from the original Pixies because of the addition of the glitter and holographic elements. Let's have a look...
Ginni is described by the brand as "a glittery pink tourmaline." I guess I'd call this one a rosy type of pink. The formula was sheerer than I expected and definitely requires patience when applying. I used three coats here. This polish is super sparkly and has a very rough textured finish.
Bar is described as "a glittery nude topaz." I used two coats, as the formula on this one was slightly thicker than the others. Again, the texture of this polish does not go unnoticed. It is super shiny and definitely one that will catch the eyes of others when you're wearing it.
Arlo is described as "a glittering violet amethyst." It has a really pretty purple/fuchsia color to it. The formula was sheer, so three coats were used. I really like the color of this one.
So there you have them. I must admit...I am not a huge fan of this line of Pixies from Zoya. I really love the original Pixies. This is just my personal preference though. If these types of polishes are your thing, then you will really enjoy them. The colors are great and the formulas aren't bad. I think these may be perfect as accent nails or to really jazz up a manicure for a special occasion.
