Twinsie Tuesday- Inspired by a Bag

Nothing to Disclose
Happy Twinsie Tuesday lovelies! I hope your week is off to a great start. Also, welcome to the month of April! Woo hoo!! If you aren't already aware, I am the featured blogger for this month over at my sister Twinsie Heather's blog, Peace, Love, & Polish. If you have a second, please go and check out the post and the manicure I created for the feature. In other exciting news....today marks exactly ONE MONTH until my graduation! I am super excited and so ready for this phase of my life to be over. Tiffany Jordan, MSW. Yeah...I love how that looks!

Anyway, today's Twinsie Tuesday prompt is to share with you a mani that is inspired by our handbag, backpack, or wallet. Outside of polish, I also have an addiction to handbags. The task of choosing one became far too overwhelming, so I went with a bag I use for school. I have this super cute Vera Bradley Carrying Bag and I really love using it to carry my iPad, books, notebooks, and anything else I need while on campus. I also have the makeup bag to match. Here is a picture of the bag.

I really love the vibrant colors and how they pop against the dark grey background of the bag! I tried to learn how to do one stroke flowers, which would resemble those on the bag, but that was an epic fail to the 10th power. Ha! Anyway, I went back to what I know how to do. Simple dotted flowers. Yep. That's what I did! The base color is Kita from Elevation Polish. All of the remaining colors are from Zoya: Fergie (pink), Gweneth (fuchsia), Jo (silvery blue), Pippa (yellow), Thandie (orange), and Wednesday (mint green).

I added the neon orange round studs and mint green round studs as accents on the ring and index fingers.

I'm really happy about the way this mani turned out. Maybe I will try to do the one stroke flowers again. Hopefully, I will have better luck next time I try them. In all, I think I captured the essence of the bag and I was so lucky that my Zoyas came through in giving me most of the colors I needed to complete this mani.

What do you think? Do you have any tips on creating one stroke flowers? If you are interested in the neon or pastel studs from the Born Pretty Store, don't forget to use my code (EQL91) for an additional 10% off your entire purchase.

I don't know about you, but as a bag lover I am really excited to see the other Twinsies' bags and the manis they created! As always, click the links below to check out their posts!

Thank you! I have a few brushes and I used the one that's flat. It was a big fail. But if you go to Lucy's Stash, she has some excellent tutorials.
