It's Friday Polished Babes!! I don't know about you, but I am excited! Hehe! Tonight is date night for hubby and I and I can't wait!! Having three little ones, combined with living in an area without family, we don't get many date nights. Luckily, Kendall's preschool offers "Parents' Night Out" on the first Friday of each month. Yep...this is basically all we get. We are able to sneak in a lunch date here and there, but that doesn't occur very often.
After posting my first review of the KBShimmer Spring 2014 collection (HERE), I was surprised to receive another shipping email with more pretties on the way! Yay! I was sent four more of the new cremes that launched with this release and they are all pretty awesome. To avoid redundancy, all of the formulas were absolutely amazing to work with. I had absolutely no issues at all. Furthermore, they all dry to a very high gloss finish, which adds to the sheer beauty of these polishes. All polishes are shown without topcoat.
My Life's Porpoise is a pale grey creme polish. The formula was absolutely PERFECT and nearly opaque in one coat. I added two coats for a perfectly smooth and balanced finish. This color is perfect as a palette cleanser and it would look great as undies for a variety of glitter toppers.
Honeydew List is a pale green creme. I used 2 coats for these photos. The formula was really good and dried to an amazingly high shine finish. I really love these minty green type colors and I don't think I could ever get tired of them. This is one that will definitely be used frequently throughout this spring!
Pansy-Monium is a vibrant red-toned purple creme. Again, another amazing formula that was perfect in two coats. It was nearly opaque in one. Since purple is my favorite color, this is another that I was really looking forward to. The color isn't particularly unique, but the formula is impeccable.
Sky Jinks is a medium blue creme. Packed with another excellent formula, it was opaque in one coat. I used two because I'm a little anal that way! Hehe! The high gloss finish really makes this color pop. What can I say? This is another shade that I will always love! As an added bonus, there was no staining upon removal! YAY! We all know the pain that many blue polishes can be. Nope. Not this one.
To finish things off, I realized I had all of the cremes sitting on my desk, so I decided to do a little skittle dotticure with the shades I have. I absolutely love the fun and vibrant look these create when worn together!
Sigh...all I needed (NOT) is one of my favorite indie brands to begin creating creme polishes. First, it was holos and now cremes. I'm doomed. Literally. These cremes come with a nearly perfect formula and a great price, so there isn't much left to be desired. All of these shades were released with the Spring 2014 Collection and are available now by clicking HERE.
