B Squared Lacquer Valentine's Collection Review

Press Sample

Hello lovelies! Sorry for the abrupt midweek absences, but I have had one of the worst weeks of my life. Unfortunately, a terrible tragedy struck my family on last Friday. I still want to believe in the good in most people. because I know that's the truth, but there are some evil people in this world. On Monday, my husband caved in an finally went to the doctor, only to be diagnosed with the flu. Anyone with a sick man around, knows my misery! LOL! Tuesday morning our oldest son (9 years) went to the doctor and we were told he has strep throat. Tuesday got better when my baby girl's preschool informed us that she was feeling ill. I picked her up and rushed her to urgent care in the evening and she was diagnosed with a sinus and double ear infections. Unfortunately, her tubes have began to come out and she may need surgery to have them reinserted soon. Wednesday morning, our 8 year old son was diagnosed with strep throat as well. Ahhh.... really? What on Earth is wrong here? Sounds like I was in the clear, right? Well, not really. Monday morning, I went for laboratory testing and screening for diabetes. My doctor's office called me on Tuesday morning and confirmed the diagnosis. This has changed my life so much, but I am trying to be optimistic that the future will remain bright. Sorry for the long story....

The first polish I have to show you is called Luxury Chocolate, a milk chocolate linear holo with gold flakies. The formula was more sheer than I expected (not problematic), so three coats were used. I love brown polishes (especially holos), but I don't think I have a brown quite like this in my collection. The addition of the gold flakies makes this polish super classy and unique.

Check out the holo on this baby! Chocolate? Count me in!

Next, is the absolutely stunning Diva, a cherry red jelly with holographic particles, red glitters, and purple flakies. Really Mia? Dead. Drop dead gorgeous is what this is! I used 2 coats and the formula was as close to perfection as perfection can be! This one is what I would consider the classic Valentine's polish from this collection. It is super unique and ridiculously sexy. I think I know what I will be wearing on V-Day!

Do you see how it appears to be glowing? Ahhhh.....

Spring, Sprang, Sprung is a white crelly with multiple colored neon glitters in the base. This one actually glows in the dark (GITD) as well! I used 3 thin coats and there were no problems at all. I used topcoat to ensure it was super smooth to the touch. This polish is a really fun and cute mix.

Here it a GITD shot. I still have work to do on taking better GITD pics, but isn't this neat?

The last polish I have to show you is called Bling Bling! Each time I look at the name of this one, I think about the "old school" song by BG, Lil Wayne, and Juvenile. This was my jam! Anyway, I digress. Bling Bling is a holographic topcoat with silver glitters throughout the base. This one is super unique, as it gives a different twist on a regular linear holo topcoat. I layered one coat and dabbed a few extra glitters on top of a sky blue creme polish.

I really love the look of this one, so I added an accent nail using silver chevron nail stickers. I LOVE this mani so much!

What do you think of the Valentine's Collection from B Squared Lacquer? I love the variety in this collection. You have your traditional Valentine's Day color in Diva, a gorgeous brown holo reminiscent of your favorite V-Day treats (chocolates), a super color holo/glitter topcoat, and a really fun polish to propel us into spring! Mia really covered it all in this collection. This set will be launched on January 18, 2014 at 10am CST in the B Squared Lacquer Shop. Together, the collection will cost you $42 (not including shipping). Diva is $9.50 and the others are all $12 when purchased individually. Looks like you get a slight break when purchasing the set together. It's totally worth it and you will not be disappointed. Don't forget to follow the brand on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram for details on releases and other important information.

Have a great day!
