I Love Nail Polish Review Part II

Press Sample

Hi there everyone! Happy Halloween! I hope you are having a great week so far. I have another portion of my swatches and review for the upcoming collection from I Love Nail Polish. I reviewed 4 of the 10 polishes I was sent to review HERE. At the time of that post, I thought I would divide the swatches into 2 separate posts; however, that didn't quite work out how I intended! Since that is the case, I have another 3 for you today and the last 3 will be posted tomorrow morning. How does that sound? Cool? Cool. Beware...I took a lot of pics!!

The first polish I have for you today is called Cygnus Loop (H). This polish was originally released a few months ago in the Ultra Chromes collection. Barbra decided to spruce it up and add another element of AWESOMENESS by making it holographic as well. ILNP describes it this way..."Depending on the light and angle of your lovely fingertips, Cygnus Loop (H) will shuffle through a bright purple, to orange, to yellow, and even a little bit of green. On top of that, it will sparkle like it's been hit with diamonds!" I used 2 coats and topcoat for the photos below. Application was absolutely perfect!

This polish is truly an eye catcher! This baby should come with a warning not to wear in potentially dangerous situations! I mean, you really must be careful when operating heavy machinery, a motor vehicle, or any other activity! You won't be able to stop staring!

This next polish is called Bottle Service. According to the maker, "Bottle Service is an immaculate holographic polish that displays both champagne and soft silver hues depending on the angle of light hitting your fingertips." This one went on a tad streaky but seemed to level out after drying and adding topcoat. I really like the subtle, yet flashy look of this polish. The holo is not in your face, but it is definitely noticeable. I think this is a really great polish for a time when you still want to be jazzy, but need to tone it down a bit. I used 3 coats and topcoat for the photos below.

You can see the silver look in some pics...

Here is leans more champagne...

The last one for today is called My Little Glacier (H). This polish was also originally released along with the Ultra Chromes collection and has now been spiced up with some holographic particles!! YAYA! Here is the description given by ILNP..."Just like the original, My Little Glacier (H) is an incredibly sexy titanium blue polish that appears silver one moment, and blue the next! The new holographic twist gives this polish a beautiful ice cold rainbow sparkle - a perfect compliment!" I used 2 coats and topcoat for these photos. Application was a breeze and this polish is just PERFECTION IN A BOTTLE!

I had my eyes on the original version and I am so happy that Barbra provided this one for me to review! This baby is GAWJUSS!! Seriously. Really. No kidding.

Are you kidding me? Is Barbra a genius or what? Well...she has my vote!

Breast Cancer Awareness Fight On!

Hello Lovelies!!! Today is the last Wednesday of October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Although the month is over, the cause is not. Remember to do your self check and ensure that your loved ones do the same. Awareness is the key and early detection has proven to be instrumental in receiving a positive prognosis. Check out the Susan G. Koman Foundation website HERE. They have an extensive amount of information related to early detection, statistics, risk factors, prevention, and treatment.

As an update on my post from last week, I have an appointment scheduled for an ultrasound and mammogram for Tuesday, November 4th. I will keep you guys posted about the results. Thank you so much for your prayers, concern, and support during this difficult time.

I recently received these beautiful polishes from an indie brand called PolisHaus. I have never tried this brand before, but these breast cancer awareness polishes immediately caught my eyes.  According to the maker's site, this collection of four polishes were created in conjunction with another indie brand, Black Luna Lacquer. What's more awesome than the beautiful collection these ladies created? Well, it's the fact that they have pledged to donate 50% of the proceeds to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Today's manicure features 2 of the 3 polishes I have.

I started with two coats of Stronger, a bright salmon pink creme color. The first coat was a tad streaky when applied; however, the second coat went on perfectly and everything leveled out beautifully. I really like this shade of pink, as it has that peachy/coral type feel and is absolutely perfect with my complexion. Of course, this isn't to say this won't look amazing on a variety of other skin tones as well. This is 2 coats and no topcoat below.
PolisHaus Stronger
To complete the manicure, I added accent nails with 3 coats of Fight On, a grey crelly polish with pink, purple, and silver glitters.  I also stamped the index finger using a white polish and BM-321 and added 2 white circular studs from Pueen Cosmetics on the pinky finger.

I love the way the colors in these polishes compliment one another. What do you think?

Have a Happy Hump Day!

I Love Nail Polish Review Part I

Press Sample

Hello lovelies!!! Today I have an exciting post with some very beautiful polishes to review. Why am I excited? Well...I have the pleasure of reviewing 10 of the 16 new polishes from ILNP!!! I was super stoked when the box arrived and I am so happy that Barbra trusted me to show off some of her new pretties! I am NOT going to post all 10 here today, so be on the look out for the others on Thursday. Let's get it started!!

First, we have Admire Me, which is described by the maker as "an insanely cute teal polish loaded with holographic and sparkly goodness. If you don't fall in love with it in the bottle, you definitely will after the FIRST stroke!" Trust me...this description is on point! I applied 2 coats (merely out of habit and OCD) but it surely could be worn perfectly in one coat. Application was great and the formula was awesome! I seriously could not take this one off! I wore it to class on Monday and found myself staring at my nails! So yeah....I said it...I was staring at my nails in class! Ahhhh!

Really? Do I need to say more? I. Think. Not.

Next, I have the beauty that is Molly. She is described as "a beautiful deep cranberry / magenta colored holographic polish with added sparkle and an incredibly rich and wet appearing finish."  Again, application was easy and I used 2 coats, but one coat would have been sufficient. I really love how this one tows the line between being pink and purple...it's great for the "not so pink girl" that I am.

The shine on this polish is absolutely glamorous. I mean...this doesn't even have topcoat. Crazy, eh?!

Washing Ashore is the next beauty I have to show you. This polish has been described as "an incredibly strong multichrome nail polish studded with a unique combination of sparkly goodness. The primary color shift of this polish travels from a glowing teal to a rich and vibrant purple."  The color of this one is very apparent in the bottle; however, I wasn't able to capture it adequately on the nail. Perhaps, this was user error because I have seen another swatch that truly captures the dramatic shift in this polish. I used two coats and topcoat for the following photos. Application was easy and I have no issues to report.

Gorgeous. Unfortunately, I couldn't quite capture the shift. <hangs head in disappointment>

The next pretty is called Indie Go, which is "a spectacular holographic polish like none other! The stunningly rich finish and added blue sparkle effect pigments really set this polish apart from other holographic polishes out there."  Simply put, this baby is FANTASTICAL!! I cannot even describe the depth of this beauty! It is seriously the most perfect blurple holographic polish I have EVER SEEN! PERIOD. I was mad at myself because I should've saved this one for last in order to wear it. Oh well...I simply polished them again once I finished with everything else! HA!

Have you picked your jaw up from the floor? Nah...didn't think so!

So here they are!! What do you guys think of these polishes so far? I can tell this collection will be a hit because each of these polishes are amazing in their own way. As I stated above, I will have the rest of the polishes later this week. I will also continue to work on swatches of Washing Ashore, as I truly want to capture the color shift. you have got to see it. For now, you can look at Barbra's swatch HERE.

ILNP is offering a pre-order for the new collection beginning Friday, November 1st! The pre-order will last from 3-5 days and will ensure that everyone is able to get all of the polishes they want, without the worries of things selling out quickly. The actual release date is November 15th, so if you can't make the pre-order, don't fret...you have another opportunity. There is also a special offer being extended to pre-order customers only. If you pre-order at least 3 polishes from the new collection, you will receive a free limited edition polish with your order. For more information, please visit ILNP. Polish Addict Nail Color Review Part II

Press Sample

Hello lovelies! I hope you all had a great weekend! The kids had a blast at Universal Studios! I am so happy we were able to take them. It was a great family day out. The weather was perfect. It was warm, but not extremely hot. Today I have 3 more polishes from Polish Addict Nail Color to review for you. To avoid any repetition, I used HK Girl Topcoat from Glisten & Glow on each of these manicures.

First up is The White Queen, The Red Queen, which is an off-white champagne shimmer crelly with micro gold and red glitters. As soon as I saw this one, I knew I had to have it. I am so happy Laura sent it for me to review! I used 2 coats thin coats. Application was easy and there were no issues at all.

I love the softness and sophistication of this polish. This is definitely appropriate for the office, work, interview, or any other form of professional aspects of your life.

The next one I have is called Riddle Me This. Again, Laura created another beauty that is simply made for me! This polish has a shimmering grey crelly base and is loaded with multiple shapes of black and white matte glitters. I used 2 coats and there were no issues with application. I love the way the glitters dispersed evenly across the nail. It allowed for a really uniform look that I really adore.

I simply adore this type of polish!!

The last one I have for you today is, perhaps, one of my FAVORITE polishes of ALL TIME!!! I have been wanting this forever and now it is finally mine! I literally couldn't take this off. Jellyfish (original version) is a white crelly with micro blue, fuchsia, and gold glitters. I used 3 thin coats for this look.

I truly cannot say enough good things about this polish!! I seriously LOVE everything about this! The application was a breeze, the look phenomenal, and it is simply stunning. This is one of those polishes that is very simple, yet absolutely WOWS you. I will be featuring this baby with some nail art soon, so keep your eyes peeled.

All of the polishes today are a total win for me! Which are your favorites? As I mentioned before, I really love the variety offered in each of the creations from Polish Addict Nail Color. Laura is a sweetheart, her customer service is superb, and her products are high quality. You can follow the brand on Facebook and Instagram. Click HERE to go directly to her shop!

Polish Addict Nail Color Review

Press Sample

Happy Saturday everyone! We are taking the kids to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventures today! They are really excited and I'm sure they will have a blast! I have some pretties from Polish Addict to review for you today. I am sure you will love the variety and versatility that these polishes offer. In order to avoid redundancy, I used my favorite HK Girl by Glisten & Glow to provide a super glossy and smooth finish to each of these manicures!

First up is The Walking Dead, which is described by the creator as "a gray/greenish crelly with a mix of green, yellow, gold, iridescent and gray glitters." This polish is super fun and spot on for a different twist on Halloween and absolutely perfect for the fall! I used 2 coats over one coat of My Turn by Sinful Colors (a slate grey matte). Application was easy and the glitters spread really evenly cross the nail.

I really love this polish and it immediately caught my eye when it was first previewed. I am so happy I was given the opportunity to review this one!!

The next one I have to show you is called Mad Hatter's Tea Party. This one has a raspberry pink crelly base with multiple shapes, colors, and sizes of glitter. Application was easy, the glitter dispersed freely, and it was very smooth, even before topcoat.

This is really fun and a glitter lover's dream!

Next up is Green Goblin (LE), which is a green, glow in the dark, holographic, jelly based polish! WHOA! That was a mouthful! This color is really sheer, so I used 4 coats to reach the color that I desired. The sheerness is great in many aspects, as it can be used as a topper, transforming any of your polishes into a glow in the dark beauty. It can also be paired with a glitter and it would create a nice jelly sammich!

Unfortunately, I was unable to capture the glow in the dark effect of this polish. But let me tell you...this baby GLOWS...I mean...GLOWS! It has such a bright green effect, it had my sons and husband in amazement that polish could actually glow! So, I truly apologize that my lack of skills could not demonstrate the glow, but trust me...you will love it! How cute is this? The GITD effect is just a bonus!

The last polish I am showing you today is a glitter topper called Halloween Party. This is a clear based polish with micro shimmer, stars, hexes, squares and several other shapes of glitter in white, blue, pink, and yellow. I used 2 coats of Halloween Party over Green Goblin and the combo was perfect. This is when I hit myself for not being able to capture the glow...sigh...

The glitters really stand out over the green and when I turned off the lights...WHOA BAYBAAAY!! OK, seriously, I am so sorry. But you should really try this combo!

So what do you think of these polishes? I really like the variety offered in each of the creations from Polish Addict Nail Color. Laura is a sweetheart, her customer service is superb, and her products are high quality. You can follow the brand on Facebook and Instagram. Click HERE to go directly to her shop!

Have a good one!

Busy Girls Challenge Week 3: Oxblood

Hello lovelies! Sorry I didn't post yesterday, but I was just not feeling it. Today I have a really cute mani to show you for this week's Busy Girls Nail Challenge. We are already on week 3 and I have enjoyed looking at the manis that the other ladies have created. Be sure to check them on out Instagram, using the tag #busygirlnails.

For this mani, I began with one coat of Cult Nails Lamestain, which is a very deep oxblood creme polish. I forgot to take pics of it alone (OOPS!), but they will be provided at a later date. At this point, I used 2 coats of Elevation Polish Toubkal, which is described as a darkened red purple with gold, red, and pink large irregularly shaped shimmer. Hey...I don't know if this description necessarily fits for me, but this polish is gorgeous. That's really all that matters!
Toubkal
I love the way the shimmer is subtle, yet very noticeable at the same time. That probably makes no sense, but I love this and it is perfect for fall.
Toubkal
To add a little POP to this mani, I added one gold heart stud to each nail, using topcoat. After applying, I finished the mani with one coat of HK Girl Topcoat by Glisten & Glow.

What do you think of this look? I think it is simple and jazzy. Are you participating in the Busy Girls Nail Challenge? If so, don't forget to tag your pictures on social media so everyone can drool over your mani!

Good Day Mates!
