Duh Nail Polish Ring It In Collection Review

Press Sample
Hello lovelies!! I hope your Christmas was merry and bright! My day was okay, although I ended up with pink eye. I know right...who gets sick on Christmas Day? Well...apparently, the answer is me. Sad...just sad. Anyway, today I have some beauties from a relatively new indie polish brand called Duh Nail Polish. Danyl, the owner, is a sweetheart and has created some really pretty polishes in her first few collections since opening a few months ago. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for more from this brand.

A Bubbly Toast is described by the maker as "a nude made for everyone. A pearl flake with a slight shifting pigment, and a sprinkling of holo dust." I completely agree with that description, as this polish seems to be universally flattering on all complexions. I used three thins coats and there were no issues with application or formula. This is a great color for the office or anytime that subtlety will work best!

Next is Champagne & Caviar, which is described by the maker as "a pearl, nude, pinkish, shimmer with black holo hex, pink holo hex, micro holo pink and micro holo black holo hex." Once seeing the bottles alongside one another, I immediately realized the similarity in base colors of this one and A Bubbly Toast, so I used it as undies. The formula is sheer, so two coats were used along with the undies. I absolutely adore this polish. This personifies a grown woman's glitter polish! Love, love, love.

Black Tie Affair is described by the maker as "a charcoal gray crelly with sapphire hex silver hex, micro sapphire glitters." The color combination used in this polish is right up and down my alley! The crelly formula was perfect and spread evenly in two coats. There are just the right amount of glitters to give it a great look without being too overwhelming. Perfecto!

The Countdown To.... is described as "lots of holo glitters in a silver/chrome jelly, stuffed full of platinum flakes and holographic dust." I am not completely sure if I agree that this is a jelly. I could be wrong but it is more of a sheer glitter topper with fine micro glitters and holographic particles. That's just my description. Regardless of the description used, this is a pretty polish and it's extremely versatile. I layered two coats of this one over a metallic silver polish and I LOVE the way it came out. This one screams New Year's Eve!

Want Some Cheese with That Whine is described as "a beautiful bordeaux red with lots of gold flakes." Ahhh....just....ahhh!!! This is a deep wine colored jelly with an absolutely amazing formula!! The gold flakes shine through the jelly base and give this just the right touch. The first thing that came to my mind with this one was classy. This is one classy polish. Did I mention the formula is perfect? Oh...ok...just checking. Seriously, Danyl really created a stunner and the name is super cute! I used two coats.

The last polish happens to be my favorite of the collection. Twenty Fourteen is described as "a gorgeous royal blue jelly, glitter bomb which is packed full of sapphire hex, black holo hex, and holographic dust." DEAD. I mean...WOW! Again, another great jelly formula is accentuated by a perfect mixture of glitters. I could really go on and on about the gorgeousness of this polish, but I will spare you! Haha!  I used three thin coats for the photos below.

I am really loving these polishes from Duh Nail Polish. I think this brand is on the way to making a real statement in the indie world. This Ring It In Collection is perfect for the grown and sexy, as well as, a younger more outgoing crowd. The cohesiveness of the collection is what I really love, as I feel it was well thought out in it's creation. All of the polishes fit and work well as a collection. Happy Holidays!
