Down the Bayou Lacquer Review

Press Sample
Hello lovelies!! Are you ready for the holidays? I must admit, I am not much for the festivities, decorations, and all that, but I definitely enjoy spending time with my family, giving to others, and seeing the smiles on my children's faces when they get their gifts. Anyway, I have 2 more polishes from Down the Bayou Lacquer to show you today.

Sun Shining on Chanel, according to the maker, "This polish is in honor of Chanel my friends cousin who lost her fight with Sarcoma cancer. Yellow is the color that is used to bring awareness so I made a gorgeous yellow creamy color with gold and silver glitters with a subtle hint of holographic. $1 per bottle will go to MDanderson cancer Center in Houston towards research!"

The formula was very sheer and runny. I used thin coats and allowed for slightly longer than usual drying time in between coats but it was still really sheer. This is 3 coats with topcoat shown below.

Cajun Roux  is described by the maker as a "gorgeous brown holographic its has a golden shimmer under tone to it also."  Again, the formula was very sheer. I had to use 4 coats to reach the color shown below. Unfortunately, I did not pick up a holographic finish at all with this polish, in the bottle or on the nail. I think of it closer to the frost finish as the other polish above. The color is very pretty and subdued for those days when you aren't trying to be too flashy.
