Zoya Dream

Happy Sunday! I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! My weekend has truly been a blessing. Yesterday, I volunteered with my social work honor society (Phi Alpha) at an event called 'A Day of Magical Connections.' This event was held here in the central Florida area, in Seminole County. This is a county adjacent to Orange County (Orlando) and is included in the Orlando Greater Metropolitan Area. The event was servicing homeless, at risk of becoming homeless, and intermittently housed families in the county. We served more than 400 families, assisting them with a comprehensive service base, meeting their health, financial, dental, and other needs. I was so excited!

I must say I am extremely proud of myself as I was able to assist one family who was in an extreme crisis situation. This was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I assisted them in a vast array of areas including getting short-term safe housing (they will have a new apartment on 12/1), apartment assistance, furniture for the apartment, their security and utility deposits are being paid, the first month's rent is paid, clothing, shoes, food, food stamps, a new crock pot, cooking utensils, hygiene items, gift cards for food, and they won a brand new laptop! Ahhhh....it was such a wonderful feeling seeing the smiles on their faces once they could feel secure! I am so blessed to be a social worker. I know this is not a field that is always financially lucrative, but there are no finances that can replace the satisfaction in knowing that you can make a difference to individuals, families, and the community. Social justice....I love it!

So on to today's post....I have a short one for you because I am still playing around with "Nikondi," I wanted to show you this new beauty I have from Zoya. Dream is a beautiful blue scattered holo with a somewhat jelly-ish base. I really love this color and was immediately drawn to it when the press releases were published.

This is actually shown without topcoat, as I really loved the semi-matte finish. I suppose I should've at least taken a few with topcoat to show you how it really shines. Ummmm....sowwy (as my Kendi would say!).

I am sure you have seen this baby all over social media. It has quickly become somewhat of a necessity for any nail polish addict, especially if you love blue, holo, or any super dee duper polish!

Have a Happy Sunday!
