Whimsical Wednesday

Hello lovelies!!! My orientation days are over now but I have several smaller training sessions to attend in order to complete the entire process. I'm still hanging in there for now and I am excited about these next 9 months!!

Now that I've gotten that out of the way, it's time for some NAILS!! Here we are again for another Whimsical Wednesday post! Today I attempted to summon my creative genes as much as possible (which ends up being very little)! I have a really cute polish from Whimsical Ideas by Pam to show you today.

As I mentioned in last week's Whimsical Wednesday post, Pam is a creative genius!! This polish has another of Pam's creative and cute names that very accurately captures the essence of the polish. "Just Add Milk" was released with the Eight Whimsical Nights Collection for the 2012 Holiday Season. Just Add Milk is a beautiful light tan crelly with different sized dark brown hexes throughout. It truly resembles chocolate chip cookies!!! Now all you need is the milk and you're set!

For this look, I started with a base of OPI Did You Ear About Van Gogh? in two coats. I added two coats of Just Add Milk and topcoat to my pinky and index fingers. I already LOVE this!

My vision for this mani was to play on the name, so I created chocolate chip cookies on my ring finger. These cookies were inspired by one of the most incredible bloggers around....Sarah at Chalkboard Nails. She created gluttony themed nails, where she featured a variety of delicious and tasty treats on each nail. You can see that post HERE. It is magnificent!!

For my cookie accent nail, I used 2 coats of OPI Did You Ear About Van Gogh? I added large circles with OPI Wooden Shoe Like To Know? These large circles were the cookie. I created the chocolate chips by adding small dots with a black polish. Lastly, I outlined each cookie using OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys. I added 2 coats of topcoat and my cookies were complete!

For the other accent nail, I decided to add the milk (as suggested by the name!). I started with a white base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (a totally awesome white...BTW). Once the white was completely dry, I drew the milk carton on with a black striping polish. I added 2 coats of topcoat and I think I successfully added the milk!

This is my first time attempting these designs, but I am rather pleased with the outcome! I am NOT an artist, so I set my expectations VERY low!! LOL! As I mentioned previously, I am new to the nail art world and I will be experimenting with a variety of designs and techniques, so I truly appreciate you baring with me!

You can purchase Whimsies through Pam by going to her Facebook page and completing the ordering process there. I really hope you enjoyed today's post! Now, I'm off to pack on a few pounds with some chocolate cupcakes I made!!

Have a great day!
