Mainstream Monday

Hello Lovelies!!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! I just relaxed, swatched, took kids to the park, swatched, made dinner, and well...swatched!!! Haha! Today is my first day getting up early and down to business in a very long time. I have orientation for my internship at a mental health hospital. I am entering into my last year of study for my Master of Social Work degree, where I am specializing in mental health and addictions and receiving a certification as a marriage and family therapist. I am very excited about this opportunity to work as a therapist intern in the inpatient adult mental health unit!

Today I have another "Mainstream Monday" post for you! Well, I guess you figured that out from the title. Duh! Anyway, today I am featuring my selections from the OPI San Francisco Fall/Winter 2013 Collection. I have all 3 of the Liquid Sands and one of the cremes. Let's get going...

The first polish I want to show is a beautiful creme called "A-Piers To Be a Tan." This is a deep brown/tan/caramel colored (haha...not sure which best suites!) creme. The formula was nice and I used 2 coats and topcoat. This is my kind of color! I am wearing this today to my first day of orientation!

So distinguished and professional looking! I love this!

Now for an closeup on this gorgeousness...

A-Piers To Be a Tan
First of the Liquid Sands is "It's All San Andreas's Fault." This is a taupe/brownish textured polish. It has more of a creme application and none of the glittery texture that some other Liquid Sands have. It doesn't have a particularly gritty feel to the finish either. I used 2 coats and it dried fairly quickly. I really love the look of this one. I will definitely wear this tomorrow for the second day of orientation!

This is very office appropriate, with a twist! Love this! I am sure this one will be a favorite for my days at the mental health center.

Next I have the beautiful bright blue called "Wharf! Wharf! Wharf!" This is another smooth finish Liquid Sand. The blue is so bright and beautiful, I really didn't want to take this off! I used 3 thin coats to reach the desired opacity.

Wharf! Wharf! Wharf!
 This is a definite hit!

The last Liquid Sand I have today is "Alcatraz...Rocks." INSANE! This one is a royal purple with gold and pink shimmer. It dries to a gritty/glittery textured finish and has the ultimate shine! Unfortunately, I don't think my pictures truly capture the depth of the beauty in this one. I used 2 coats and I just love this look! I will be pulling this one out on days when I have class.

I tried this one at different angles and in various lighting and I just couldn't seem to capture it's true beauty. Sorry...but trust me...Alcatraz definitely ROCKS!!

I tried so hard to capture the gorgeous shimmer in this!

OPI really hit it home with these textures and I love the cream I chose! "Alcatraz...Rocks" was a true standout in the beginning for me and it doesn't disappoint. It's really hard for me to choose a favorite, I am drawn to the purple because it's my favorite color. But in all fairness, each of these are gorgeous and I LOVE them!

Well, that all for today's "Mainstream Monday" post. I really hope you enjoyed these polishes. Do you have any of the OPI San Francisco collection? Which are your favorites?

Happy Monday!
