Lisa Frank Is Da Bomb

Hello again everyone!!!!

I probably should have mentioned this in my 1st post, but I didn't so here it is... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE INDIE NAIL POLISHES! Since this is the case, they will be a consistent feature of most of my posts. Today's post is no different...

For this mani, I started with undies by Cult Nails. Party Time is a beautiful blue creme which is from the recently released 'Road Trip, Anyone?' collection. This creme applied beautifully and there were no application issues. The accent nail is 'You're My Dandy Lion' a shimmering yellow polish, which is a part of the 'In the Garden' collection. I used 3 coats to achieve the opacity that I was looking for. Both are shown below with no topcoat.

To complete this mani, I added an awesome glitterbomb by Trelly's M.I.S.C Polish. 'Lisa Frank is Da Bomb' is literally DA BOMB (I know...corny), but this is such an awesome mix of glitters! It completely captures everything I remember about all of my Lisa Frank binders and accessories as a little girl. Is she still popular? Hmm...I will check on that. Anyway, it is a mixture of black, silver holo, and neon glitter of various shapes and sizes. This is my first polish from this brand and I really like it. I used one coat, and placed some glitters to achieve a balanced look. I topped it with my favorite topcoat (G&G HKGirl) and it was completely smooth to the touch.

The glitters really pop over the bright undies!

I couldn't leave well enough alone, so I decided to add a matte topcoat and the change was AMAZING!!

I absolutely adore this mani in both versions, but I think the matte is my favorite!! What do you think? Do you like the matte or glossy version better?

Thanks for reading!

Tiffany

  5. I like the matte look better! I'm curious to know though... with so many layers, does it chip easily? That's my pet peeve with polish, it ALWAYS chips :(

Hi Amy! I am so glad you came and checked out the blog! I LOVE the matte as well! I actually don't experience chipping at all with my polishes anymore. I believe it's a combination of using a high quality base and topcoat each time. What brands do you use?
